Promotional or graphic device

What is a promotional or graphic device?

A promotional or graphic device is any illustration or graphic that has been developed to represent a program or initiative. Use of the device must comply with the Tasmanian Government Corporate Brand Identity and Communications Policy.

A promotional or graphic device is not considered to be a logo and may not be placed on the same level as the Tasmanian Government logo. It may be included in the general area (upper three quarters) of a design.

Mandatory elements:

  • Tasmanian Government logo
  • Tasmanian Government fonts

The Tasmanian Government Corporate Brand Identity and Communications Policy or any approved department or sub-brand specific identity applies.

Do not:

  • place on stationery
  • place next to the Tasmanian Government logo

Approval:

  • The development of any new promotional or graphic device requires approval from the Manager, Communications Unit, Department of Premier and Cabinet via email: communications@dpac.tas.gov.au prior to production.
  • Usually a project planning document will be required to assess an application.
  • Generally, a promotional or graphic device will not be approved for a business unit or area of the Tasmanian Government. Business units or areas should be represented using the Tasmanian Government logo.
  • The Tasmanian Government Corporate Brand Identity and Communications Policy applies.

Placement area:

It may be included in the general area (upper three quarters) of a design. See pink area in example below.
