How to contact the Tasmanian Government

Many Tasmanian Government services and transactions are handled by Service Tasmania.

If you need to contact someone within government but you are not sure who to call, call Service Tasmania's government directory switchboard on 1300 135 513 (9 am until 5 pm, weekdays). For calls outside of Australia, call +613 6169 9017.

National Relay Service

The National Relay Service (NRS) can help you if you are d/Deaf, hard of hearing, use Auslan or have a speech communication difficulty. NRS is free, but you must have an account to access the service.

Depending on which type of NRS call you want to make, there are different numbers to call and different access points.

View the numbers and links for NRS users and when prompted, provide 1300 135 513 to the relay officer.
