The Public Trustee is here for Tasmanians. We provide professional support to help people manage their affairs and plan ahead with confidence.
We support Tasmanians at different stages of life by preparing estate planning documents such as Wills, enduring powers of attorney, and enduring guardianships. This work helps ensure people’s wishes are understood, respected and followed.
We also act as an independent executor, attorney or trustee. This gives people peace of mind that their affairs will be managed professionally and fairly, without placing added emotional pressure on family or loved ones. As trustee, we manage a range of trusts, including court-awarded trusts and trusts created through estates, ensuring funds are protected and used as intended.
When someone is no longer able to manage their finance affairs due to a decision-making impairment, and has no one else who can help, the Public Trustee can be appointed as an administrator. In this role, we provide stable supportive financial management for some of Tasmanians most vulnerable people.
We are an independent and impartial organisation, recognised for our professionalism, integrity and client-focused approach. We are proud to be a service Tasmanians can rely on.
Our values are simple: putting clients first; treating each other and our clients with respect; and acting with integrity. These values help us achieve open, honest and ethical service delivery.
Working with us means doing meaningful work that has a positive impact. We know work-life balance matters, so we offer flexible arrangements to suit your lifestyle. We offer excellent conditions with offices in Hobart CBD, Launceston and Burnie. We also care about your wellbeing and offer initiatives to help you stay healthy and happy on the job.
Join us and be part of meaningful work that matters to Tasmanians.
