Brand Tasmania is a government enabled, and industry and community supported, place branding organisation. We were the first statutory place branding authority to be established in Australia, and are responsible for taking a best practice approach to ensure the Tasmanian brand is strengthened locally, nationally and internationally, and promoted as a key asset of the Tasmanian community.
When we use the word ‘brand’ we don’t mean logo. Our brand is an expression of who we are as Tasmanians at our best, what we offer to each other and to the world. It’s our unifying story: where we’ve come from, who we are today, and where we are going together. Our mission is to inspire and encourage Tasmanians, and those who want to be Tasmanian, to quietly pursue the extraordinary. Our purpose is to bring more value to everything Tasmanian.
We are a service driven organisation, partnering with stakeholders across business, government and the community to empower Tasmanians to tell their stories meaningfully and use the Tasmanian brand in their own strategies. Every project we deliver, every story we tell, every workshop we host, and every conversation we have is designed to ensure more Tasmanians feel seen, supported, and inspired to be part of this work.
