Tasmanian Aboriginal people continue to have connections and relationships with Country, the Land, Waterways, Sea, Sky and all living forms.

We pay our respects to Aboriginal Elders, past and present, and acknowledge their important role in sharing cultural knowledge and practices, keeping Aboriginal culture strong today.

We value the contributions that Aboriginal people working in the Tasmanian State Service make on a daily basis.

Meaningful work in a meaningful place.

A public service career is more than a job. It is a way to feel closer to your community. In Tasmania, a place that is geographically isolated, but culturally connected, your contribution becomes even more significant. No matter the job title, everyone in the Tasmanian State Service (TSS) plays a part in something bigger.

Whether you’ve been in Tasmania for weeks, generations, forever, or are thinking about joining us soon, there’s a role for you in the TSS. We invite you to do meaningful work in this meaningful place.
