The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 30,000 people servicing the Tasmanian community. Our people create, build, research, teach and regulate across more than 200 job groups. We welcome diverse skills and diverse people, and we offer a variety of ways to work.
The TSS is made up of 18 agencies, including nine departments and nine state authorities. Each agency supports Tasmanians by implementing policies and programs and delivering services on behalf of the Tasmanian Government.
The TSS cares for all Tasmanians, keeps them safe and secure. We support little Tasmanians, inspire future generations of Tasmanians, and welcome the world to our parks and special places. We protect Tasmania’s natural environment for future generations, and we support Tasmanian farmers, growers, makers, builders and creators to take their work to customers here and everywhere.
