The Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA) is responsible for conserving and maintaining some of Australia’s most important heritage sites and tourism operations.
These include the Port Arthur Historic Site on the Tasman Peninsula, the Coal Mines Historic Site at Saltwater River, and the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site in South Hobart. We share the stories of these places and the people connected to them.
We are globally recognised for excellence in telling the Australian convict story through outstanding conservation and tourism experiences. We show how it is possible to successfully balance conservation needs and the requirements of tourism. It is meaningful work.
We offer a workplace where our values are central to the work we do every day. We treat each other with respect and fairness, taking accountability for our decisions, actions, and words. We work together to achieve our shared goals, and we use our voices to listen and learn from one another
Our peak employment season is from October to April, but we are always on the lookout for great people to join us year-round. Working with us means meaningful work surrounded by stunning, historic settings, with flexibility, health and wellbeing support, a top team around you, staff discounts, and the chance to help protect and preserve Tasmania’s iconic sites for future generations.
