The Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management (DPFEM) plays a vital role in creating a safe and secure Tasmania. We strive every day to protect our communities through quality policing and emergency management services, delivered by workers who care about this place and its people.
The department is made up of:
- Tasmania Police (TasPol)
- Tasmania Fire Service (TFS)
- State Emergency Service (SES)
- Forensic Science Service Tasmania (FSST)
- Business and Executive Services
The department is responsible to the Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management.
