The Lifting Literacy Outcomes Monitoring Group (LLOMG) is an independent skills-based group that has been established by the Premier to provide oversight and monitoring of the Lifting Literacy Implementation Plan 2024‑2026.

The members of the Lifting Literacy Outcomes Monitoring Group are:

    Chair, Current Chair of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL)
  • Dr Jenny Donovan
    Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Education Research Organisation
  • Dr Lisa Denny
    Workforce Demographer, Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Tasmania
  • Amy Haywood
    Education Program Deputy Director at the Grattan Institute
  • Anne Hay
    An experienced school leader in Tasmanian schools
  • Dr Becky Shelley
    Deputy Director, Aspiration and Attainment of the Peter Underwood Centre
  • Brian Yeaman
    A Tasmanian with lived experience of overcoming literacy challenges
  • Mat Healey
    Acting Deputy Secretary, Policy and Delivery Division, Department of Premier and Cabinet

The Lifting Literacy Outcomes Monitoring Group will meet quarterly to monitor and evaluate progress being made against the Lifting Literacy Implementation Plan. The group will report to the Premier twice yearly about implementation progress and outcomes.
