Water Notice- South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River and Tributaries

Due to increased stream flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue a Surety 8 Flood Take for the South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River and its Tributaries.

Water may now be taken by licensees under Surety 8 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from 10 AM Friday, 27 June 2025 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Tuesday, 1 July 2025 or the South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River as measured at the Llewellyn gauging station falls below 400 ML/d.
