Water Notice - South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River and Tributaries.

Due to increased stream flows, I Kym Honeychurch, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue an Opportunistic Take for the South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River.

Water may now be taken by licensees under opportunistic take for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from 11AM Monday, 2 September 2024 and will remain in force until the South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River as measured at the Llewellyn gauging station falls below 6500 ML/d.
