Water Notice - North Esk River and Tributaries

Due to increased stream flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue an Opportunistic Take for the North Esk River and its Tributaries.

Water may now be taken by licensees under opportunistic take for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from 10.30 AM Thursday, 23 October 2025 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Monday, 27 October 2025 or the North Esk River as measured at the Ballroom gauging station falls below 1300 ML/d.
