Water Notice - Nile River and Tributaries

Notice under Section 90 of the Water Management Act 1999

Due to a large amount of rainfall in the upper catchment, I Daniel Evans, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue a Surety 8 Flood Take for the Nile River and its Tributaries.

Water may now be taken by licensees under Surety 8 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from 10 am Wednesday 29 July 2026 and will remain in force until 10 am Sunday 2 August 2026 or the Nile River as measured at the Deddington gauging station falls below 23 ML/d.
