Due to low flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, hereby restrict the taking of water from the Mersey River and Tributaries.
Except upon the written permission of the Minister or a person delegated on that behalf by the Minister, Surety 6 allocations are only permitted to take 50% of their maximum daily take limit and Surety 5 allocations are limited to their maximum daily take limit as specified on Water License for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.
This notice takes effect at 12 Midday Friday, 27 February 2026 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Friday, 27 March 2026.
