Water Notice - Macquarie River and Tributaries

Due to increased stream flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue a Surety 7 Flood Take for the Macquarie River and its Tributaries.

Water may now be taken by licensees under Surety 7 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from 10 AM Thursday, 26 June 2025 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Monday, 30 June 2025 or the Macquarie River as measured at the Morningside gauging station falls below 250ML/d.
