Water Notice - Little Forester and Tributaries

Due to low flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, hereby restrict the taking of water from the Little Forester River and Tributaries.

Except upon the written permission of the Minister or a person delegated on that behalf by the Minister, no water is to be taken directly from the watercourse under Surety 6 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect at 4 PM Thursday, 12 February 2026 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Monday, 9 March 2026.

1. NRE Tas will be regularly monitoring this stream while this restriction notice is in place. Failure to comply with this notice could result in penalties being applied.
