Water Notice - Greater South Esk Catchment and Tributaries

Due to the Trevallyn Dam spilling or due to spill in the near future and the increased stream flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue a Surety 8 Flood Take for the Greater South Esk Catchment, including the Meander, Macquarie and South Esk Rivers and its Tributaries.

Water may now be taken by licensees under Surety 8 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from 4 PM Thursday, 2 July 2026 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Monday, 6 July 2026
