Due to increased stream flows, I Kym Honeychurch, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue an Opportunistic Take for the Great Forester River.
Water may now be taken by licensees under opportunistic take for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.
This notice takes effect from 10AM Sunday, 1 September 2024 and will remain in force until the Great Forester River as measured at the Great Forester 2KM upstream of Forester Road Bridge gauging station falls below 1200ML/d.
