Water Notice - Brid River and Tributaries

Due to low flows, I Elijah Atherton, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, hereby restrict the taking of water from the Brid River and Tributaries.

Except upon the written permission of the Minister or a person delegated on that behalf by the Minister, Surety 6 allocations are only permitted to take 50 per cent of their maximum daily take limit as specified on Water License for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect at 4 PM Monday, 16 June 2025 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Tuesday, 1 July 2025.

1. NRE Tas will be regularly monitoring this stream while this restriction notice is in place. Failure to comply with this notice could result in penalties being applied.
