Water Notice - Ansons River Catchments and Tributaries

RESTRICTION ON THE TAKING OF IRRIGATION WATER

Notice under section 92 of the Water Management Act 1999

Ansons River Catchmentand Tributaries.

Due to low flows, I Daniel Evans, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, hereby restrict the taking of water from the Ansons River Catchment and Tributaries.

Except upon the written permission of the Minister or a person delegated on that behalf by the Minister,no water is to be taken directly from the watercourse under Surety 5 or Surety 6 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect at 10 AM Friday, 14 August 2026 and will remain in forceuntil 10 AM Friday, 11 September 2026.

1. NRE Tas will be regularly monitoring this stream while this restriction notice is in place.  Failure to comply with this notice could result in penalties being applied.
