LIVING MARINE RESOURCES MANAGEMENT ACT 1995

NOTICE - TOTAL ALLOWABLE CATCH (TAC) OF THE COMMERCIAL BANDED MORWONG FISHERY FOR THE 2024-25 QUOTA PERIOD

I, Joanne Lesley Palmer MLC, Minister for Primary Industries and Water administering the
Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 (the Act) pursuant to the powers under section 94 of the Act, for the quota period from 1 March 2024 to 28 February 2025 hereby determine that:

(a) The Total Allowable Catch for the commercial banded morwong fishery be set at 33,376 kilograms;

(b) The part of the commercial banded morwong fishery from which the total allowable catch is to be taken is the “TAC area” as defined in the Fisheries (Scalefish) Rules 2015; and,

(c) The total allowable catch equates to 28 kilograms per quota unit.

Words and expressions used in this notice have the same meaning as they have in the
Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 and the Fisheries (Scalefish) Rules 2015.

This notice sets the total allowable catch for the 2024/25 fishing year for the commercial Banded Morwong Fishery for the species Cheilodactylus spectabilis in the TAC Area on the east coast of Tasmania.
