PUBLIC NOTICE – TOTAL ALLOWABLE CATCH FOR THE COMMERCIAL BANDED MORWONG FISHERY FOR THE 2025-2026 QUOTA PERIOD
I, ERIC ABETZ MP, Minister for Business, Industry and Resources administering the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 (the Act), acting pursuant to Section 94 of the Act, for the quota period 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026, hereby determine that:
- The Total Allowable Catch for the commercial banded morwong fishery be set at 33.376 tonnes;
- The part of the commercial banded morwong fishery from which the Total Allowable Catch is to be taken is the “TAC area” as defined in the Fisheries (Scalefish) Rules 2015; and
- The Total Allowable Catch equates to 28 kilograms per quota unit.
Words and expressions used in this Public Notice have the same meaning as in the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 and the Fisheries (Scalefish) Rules 2015.
