NOTICE OF THE REVOCATION AND DETERMINATION OF COMMERCIAL DIVE FISHERY CLOSURE TO SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
I, Dr David Midson, General Manager (Marine Resources) in the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania, acting pursuant to a delegation from the Minister administering the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 (the Act) and acting pursuant to section 22 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1931 hereby revoke my determination relating to closing part of the Commercial Dive fishery including to specific activities made by published notice under rule 12 of the Fisheries (Commercial Dive) Rules 2021 on 11 May 2026 (‘determination for periwinkles in sub-blocks 14B and 14C and block 15’) with effect from 11:59 pm 6 July 2026.
In this notice:
Any expression used in this notice having a particular meaning under the Act or the Rules has the same meaning in this notice.
All coordinates of latitude and longitude specified in this notice are to be determined by reference to the Geocentric Datum of Australia (also known as "the GDA" or "GDA94") as defined in the Commonwealth Gazette No. GN 35, 6 September 1995.

This notice has the effect of revoking the determination closing the commercial dive fishery to the take of periwinkles in the Port Esperance and D’Entrecasteaux area of the South-Eastern fishery part (inclusive of subblocks 14B and 14C and block 15), effective from 11:59 pm 6 July 2026. A further notice closing the whole of the South-Eastern fishery part to the take of periwinkles, made on 15 May 2026, remains effective.
