Tasmanian Pilot 2026

The Australian Workforce Cyber Challenge (AWCC) – Tasmanian Pilot is designed as a dual pipeline model, simultaneously developing emerging tertiary student talent while uplifting the capability of the public sector and industry workforce based in Tasmania.

Aligned to Tasmania’s Digital Strategy, the pilot directly supports workforce development, education and training priorities, public sector capability uplift, and the cyber resilience of government services.

The program leverages the proven ASCC structure, platform, and curriculum, delivered through a defined pilot model that integrates tertiary institutions, industry, and government in a coordinated, place-based approach.

The pilot structure is intentionally designed to:
● Deliver targeted engagement across a defined cohort of participants
● Combine student development with public sector capability uplift
● Provide mentorship and real-world exposure through industry and government engagement
● Establish clear, locally aligned education and employment pathways

A central pillar of the pilot is equity of access, recognising this as a critical element to long-term workforce sustainability in Tasmania.
