Due to low flows, I Ryan Gregson, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, hereby restrict the taking of water from the Liffey River and tributaries upstream of West Channel.
For the purpose of irrigation – regardless of whether the water is taken directly or into storage – and except upon the written permission of the Minister or a person delegated on that behalf by the Minister, Surety 5 and Surety 6 allocations are restricted to 1ML/day.
This notice takes effect at 3p.m. Wednesday, 13 January 2021 and will remain in force until 12noon Wednesday, 3 February 2021.

- DPIPWE will be regularly monitoring this stream while this restriction notice is in place. Failure to comply with this notice could result in penalties being applied.
- Water users may continue to take water that has been purchased from Tasmanian Irrigation or Cressy Longford Irrigation Scheme.
