Due to a large amount of rainfall in the upper catchment, I Gray McKinnel, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue a Surety 8 Flood Take for the Greater South Esk Catchment, including the Meander, Liffey, Quamby Brook and St Paul and Nile Rivers, and South Esk Rivers, excluding Macquarie River.
Water may now be taken by licensees under Surety 8 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.
This notice takes effect from 4 PM Thursday, 4 August 2022 and will remain in force until 12 Midday Tuesday, 9 August 2022 or further notice.
